Engineer's WeekOn Thursday 3rd of March, we’re delighted to have the pleasure of hosting JAI (Junior Achievement Ireland) at the museum. As part of our Engineer’s Week celebrations, Junior Achievement Ireland will be setting up in our Science & Discovery Zone. Alongside our interactive displays, the JAI display will fit right in, helping people to grow their knowledge of light and reflection in a fun, interactive way. The display will be aimed at kids, but people of all ages are encouraged to come take a look and take part. If you really want to embrace the Engineer’s Week experience, we have a special Engineer’s Week Quiz that you can print off and bring with you to enhance your visit. Junior Achievement Ireland

Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) encourages young people to remain in education and helps them develop the skills they need to succeed in a changing world. Junior Achievement is part of a worldwide organisation reaching out to 9.3 million young people each year. It was established in Ireland in 1995 and since then has built up a strong demand from schools throughout the country and created successful partnerships with over 180 leading organisations.

Engineer's WeekProgrammes begin at primary school level, teaching children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers and consumers and continues through to secondary school, right up to age 18, preparing students for their future careers. JA also brings science and maths skills to thousands of young students nationwide as our business volunteers work to deliver exciting programmes and events.
