Great Irish Writers

Sit down with some of Ireland’s greatest writers, learn about the history of Irish literature while overlooking the beautiful views of O’Connell Street bridge. The Great Irish Writers Room is a salute to the literary legacy of our nation’s greatest writers.

The Great Irish Writers Room is a dedicated section within the museum that celebrates Ireland’s rich literary heritage. Ireland has produced numerous renowned writers and poets throughout its history, including the likes of James Joyce, W.B. Yeats, Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde, and many others. The Great Irish Writers Room features wax figures of these prominent literary figures, dressed in period-appropriate clothing and posed in scenes that capture the essence of their works or lives. Visitors to this section of the museum have the opportunity to learn about the writers’ biographies, literary contributions, and the impact they’ve had on both Irish and global literature.
