We want to make sure that you get the most out of your visit to the National Wax Museum Plus, so we have put together a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions in the hope that we can answer any queries you may have before arrival. If you still need further assistance please do not hesitate in contacting us.

    • What are the opening times?

We are open from 10am – 10pm daily. The last admission is 9.00pm. The museum closes Christmas Eve  24th of December, Christmas Day 25th of December and St. Stephen’s Day 26th of December.
    • How long will the tour take?

As the tour is self-guided, you can spend as long as you wish. We do however advise a tour time of approximately 45 mins to 1 hour.
    • Is there a time limit?

There is no time limit and the admission ticket is valid for the whole day. You may leave and come back as you please on the day of your visit.
    • Is the tour guided?

The tour is self-guided, visitors will get a map, and we have introduced our new app “Wax Magic” where you can enjoy an exciting historic experience complemented with augmented reality.
    • Is the attraction wheelchair accessible?

There is wheelchair access to all floors except the basement, using the elevator. Due to the nature of the building there is a limited number of wheelchairs we can accommodate at any one time. Please call 00353 1 6718373  in advance of your visit.
    • Can I bring my buggy / pram?

Due to the nature of the building, we would ask that buggies be left at reception especially during busy times. There is no access to the basement floor using the elevator. We also prioritise usage of the elevator for wheelchair users.
    • Do you offer discounted rates for disabled visitors?

We offer a rate of €8 for visitors with disabilities and we offer a free place for their helper.
    • What age group is the attraction suitable for?

Children under 5 are free of charge. The attraction is suitable for children 5 years and over however we suggest an alternative route for younger visitors starting with the Kid’s World and finishing with the dungeons, if they are brave enough!
    • Are the Chambers of Horror suitable for children?

Due to the eerily creepy nature of the Chamber of Horrors we state parental advisory for those under the age of 16. Some parents may also want to pass. It’s genuinely creepy!
    • Are there discounts for groups?
