Suspect 5 - Dracula
To be honest, we’re not quite sure why this charming Transylvanian would possibly be on our list of suspects. Afterall, Vlad of Wallachia is famous for his charity work and being kind to puppies. Joking! Of all of the suspects, this fellow is perhaps the most infamous. His disregard for human life, his insatiable thirst for blood and his most fear inducing nickname, The Prince of Darkness, all lead us to one conclusion, this is one bad dude. That said, he almost seems a little too obvious a candidate here. Sure, his evil nature is not in question, but he is hardly know for his subtlety.
Vlad the Impaler is hardly likely to use common poison when he has such dark magic at his disposal. Also, Dracula, a man who does his best work during the hours of darkness, has huge respect for how Santa gets a whole years work during only one night every year.
Fun Fact – The book Dracula was first published in 1897 and written by Dublin native Bram Stoker who was from Clontarf. In the era of motion pictures, the character of Dracula has featured in over 200 films.
