Wax Museum Plus is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to parts
of the available standards and guidelines.
The following are some of the things that we have implemented to support accessibility:
- Fully responsive website
- Content is accessed through a keyboard in an accessible way
- Naming of images
- Heading styles are used correctly to organise the structure of the content
- Implemented a content management system that supports accessibility
- Using colour with care
- Forms designed for accessibility
The following are some shortfalls we will work on to improve:
- Not all imageshave alt attributes
- The website is not fully conformant to WCAG 2.1
If you have any queries about accessibility please contact us at email@example.com
We do try to make our attraction as easily accessible to as wide a range of people as possible, and succeed for the most part. However due to the limitations afforded to us by the nature of the building that houses our attraction, there are some limitations as described below.
Each visitor receives a floor plan on arrival and will be advised on the most suitable route to take. Museum staff will be on hand to provide information and assist groups when using the elevator.
BABY CHANGING FACILITIES
There are Baby changing facilities located on the bottom floor, a staff member will gladly direct you.
The Museum is partially wheelchair accessible for regular sized wheelchairs and simple prams. The elevator serves all floors. There are disabled toilets. Due to the nature of the building there is a limit to the amount of wheelchairs which we can accommodate at any one time. We can only accept two wheelchairs at a time. We strongly recommend booking in advance of your visit.
ACCESS WITH BUGGIES/PRAMS
Due to the nature of the building itself, at busy times we are unable to cater for several buggies at once therefore we recommend taking a baby carrier with you for your comfort and safety. It’s also a priority to provide wheelchair access above that of buggies so please understand that special needs take priority when visiting.
